Our Story

CE.VI.V., an acronym for Centro di Vinificazione Valdobbiadenese (English translation: Valdobbiadene winemaking centre), is the entrepreneurial expression of President Bernardo Piazza. Raised in a typical Colbertaldo farming family, he became passionate about the study of vines and wine by attending the renowned Cerletti agricultural school where he graduated in 1983. His resourcefulness and desire to challenge himself set him on the path to becoming a broker. This experience allowed him to get to know and engage with Italian wine markets. He perceived the need in the Veneto region to develop wine-making centres with the aim of uniting the wine-growing world and bottling companies. The creation of value along the wine chain has allowed them to make new investments and specialise in offering tailor-made services.

Initial sparkling wine production begins at the Colbertaldo facility in Vidor

Investments in facilities in Montereale and Alonte (Friuli and Vicenza) targeting the cross-sector chain

Development of the historic site with 23,000 quintals of grapes harvested

First harvest with 30,000 quintals of grapes picked at the Colbertaldo di Vidor site on Papa Luciani Street

Susegana

Opening of the Susegana facility in which investments were made in 2016 and 2017. Currently reaching 180,000hl to process grapes, vinify and make sparkling wine

2022

Latest expansion of the Susegana site with an additional 60,000 hl of capacity. The aim was to increase the efficiency of the entire facility
