NOP Organic certification

“NOP” certification regulates the export of organic agricultural and wine products to the United States in full compliance with the restrictive requirements of the regulation, such as the exclusive use of gaseous sulphur dioxide as a source of sulphites; the maximum sulphite limit of 100 mg/l; and the use of adjuvants and/or additives only if permitted by the regulation itself.

Certification is obtained through a process that includes the evaluation of the products and the production process and working techniques used. Compliance with the requirements is also monitored annually with inspections and analyses to verify compliance with the standard.
